Cyrano Extends to JANUARY 6, Tix on Sale DEC. 5#1
Posted: 12/1/07 at 7:33am
The ad in the Times today was to announce an extension. They make no mention of it, besides "MUST CLOSE DECEMBER 30."
Doing the math, the original closing date was the 23rd, so they've extended a week.

re: Cyrano Extends 1 Week#2
Posted: 12/1/07 at 9:25amI was hoping they'd go on sale today so I could make an exchange for the ticket that I had for during the strike. Ticketmaster isn't selling those dates yet though. They'll probably go on sale tomorrow because the Times A&L section technically comes out tomorrow.

Posted: 12/1/07 at 12:49pmFolks, Friday's national edition of The New York Times has a Cyrano listing that sez: "THRU JANUARY 6 ONLY!". I kid you not.

Wowza! That's amazing. I was all set to spend a ton of money on this, because all of the $20 seats up until the 23rd are sold out.
Good news indeed.

re: Cyrano Extends 1 Week#6
Posted: 12/1/07 at 2:09pmMy apologies for my poor spelling. Howsoever, I am quite serious about this: my copy of yesterday's Times says Cyrano thru January 6. Now, it's possible, I guess, that the national edition goes to press early or whoever placed the ABCs advert was in error... but that is what it says. Perhaps someone else in this great land of ours could consult his or her Times and confirm???

I went to the box office today to confirm.
CYRANO has indeed been extended through January 6th.
Tickets for the extension go on sale December 8th.

Fantastic...I may go to the final performance...this was by far the best play of the year.

re: Cyrano Extends 1 Week#10
Posted: 12/1/07 at 7:22pmI'll have to get up early on the morning of the 8th to get some tix, I suppose!
re: Cyrano Extends 1 Week#11
Posted: 12/1/07 at 7:41pmThank you for the clarification, madlibrarian and Wanna Be A Foster. I'm really glad that it's extended through the 6th!

Posted: 12/1/07 at 10:43pmPlease remember that "the guy in the box office" told me in October that all $20 seats were sold out for the run of the show Then people here at BWW bought those same $20 tickets several days later.
re: Cyrano Extends 1 Week#15
Posted: 12/1/07 at 11:49pmAh yes I do remember that. Either way it's good to know that there are two more weeks worth of performances.

Posted: 12/2/07 at 7:47amHow ARE the $0 seats, by the way? Are these okay or am I better off spending a little more money so I can actually see the show?
re: Cyrano Extends 1 Week#17
Posted: 12/2/07 at 9:55amMy NY Times, which arrived yesterday, states 12/30. I wish it ended in Jan. I can't stand going to NYC during December with the crowds.

Posted: 12/2/07 at 10:57amAssuming tickets go on sale on the 8th...am I better off getting tickets on-line or at the box office? (Just remembered I will be in the city on the 8th)
re: Cyrano Extends 1 Week#19
Posted: 12/2/07 at 11:02amI would say box office just because you'd be saving about nine dollars in fees.

A note:
I saw the last preview of CYRANO on October 31st and purchased a good orchestra seat at the TKTYS line...where there was no line. If the show is going to extend until January 8th, I'll get those $20 tickets as stocking stuffers for my son and daughter-in-law, who really want to see the play.

It's official.
Yankee, you may want to change your initial subject title to "two weeks."
