If only Roundabout could get Rylance.
Saw Tillinger's Chicago version and it was fantastic. I expect Spencer Kayden will be reprising her brilliant performance...

This sounds like the perfect show to finally get me into the American Airlines. Though should I be worried if I haven't seen Boeing Boeing?

^ I had the same thought, although if your willing to make the trip to New Jersey, Paper Mill Playhouse is doing it I think in January or February.

There is also a very faithful film version of BOEING BOEING.
I saw this play in London ages ago and quite enjoyed it. (I was a teenager, so it was probably '95 or so) I had not seen Boeing Boeing. At the time, I had never even heard of Boeing Boeing nor did I realize that this was supposed to have been a sequel to anything. It stands on its own just fine.
And the film of Boeing Boeing isn't very good (at least IMHO) though I suppose if you just want some background, it hardly matters.
I saw Boeing-Boeing on Broadway and Don't Dress for Dinner in Chicago and I honestly would hesitate to call the latter a sequel to the former. DDFD also centers on two guys named Bernard and Robert in a series of farcical sexcapades, but that's about it. Perhaps it was because of the markedly different performances of Mark Rylance and Jeffery Donovan, but the character of Robert in particular seemed to be a totally different person in each play.

They wanted background. It's faithful to the play. But you're right. Not very good.
I really enjoyed this production when it was in Chicago. I hope they can reassemble the cast that we had here because they were all phenomenal!
iluvtheatertrash, to clarify, I enjoyed DDFD very much. It's just not a sequel.
Oh, you were responding to Eric's post.

I saw the play in Paris and it was hilarious. Actully, all of Camoletti's plays are.

Yep, Baritone!

I would think that would be an advantage. Boeing Boeing was a miracle. The only way I could conceive that this would be worth seeing for anyone having had the pleasure of seeing the revival of Boeing Boeing is if Rylance would return.
The Chicago production was fantastic and Spencer Kayden's performance was Tony-worthy. I was really hoping it would receive a Broadway production. Hopefully, they will retain most of the Chicago cast.

There are actually FIVE film versions of Boeing Boeing in various languages, including a Bollyood version with big dance numbers!
