DRS Money Cannon axed? ... in my head!

EDIT: Big misunderstanding, Sorry!

I noticed the last time I went, that Dirty Rotten Scoundrels was no longer using their money cannon and rather just having the cast throw the money on stage. I thought that mabye it was just broke, but when I looked at the Photo Coverage of Lucie Arnaz joining, you can clearly see in the picture of Norb, John, and Rachel running up for their bow, that the cast is still throwing the money up in the air. Does anyone know the reason for the DRS Money Cannon no longer being used and when they stopped using it?

re: DRS Money Cannon axed?

I do not recall a money cannon being used for a very long time. I have seen them throw the money for the last few months.

re: DRS Money Cannon axed?

I don't remember any money cannon. I've seen it twice (once in previews and once in february) and both times the cast just threw the money.

re: DRS Money Cannon axed?

They didn't throw the money when I saw it April 2005.

I saw it in July 2005 as well as Lithgow's last night (Jan 2006). Both times a money cannon were used. Also the Playbill Yearbook for 2005 lists DRS as among shows having a money or confetti cannon.

Playbill Yearbook tracks which shows each season have money or confetti cannons?

To be more specific, they were using it as an example of one of that years trends, flinging things at the audience.

re: DRS Money Cannon axed?

There's never been a money cannon. The main 3 stars come out and throw the money.

re: DRS Money Cannon axed?

I just emailed Greg and he told me there never was a money cannon. It's very strange because the first time I saw it I was in the 3rd row and I remember some of the money falling into the audience. I guess they must have just changed the way the do it, because it didnt fall into the audience this time. Sorry for the confusion!

I bet Joanne (Joanna >.>) or Greg just through the money very high so it was like a cannon shot. I was at John's last and I don't remember a cannon.
