Tonight on the first "Dancing with the Stars" season 8 results show (starting at 9/8c) there will be a dance routine dedicated to the Golden Age of Musicals.
What should it highlight? What do/did you think? Any comparison/expectations to/from the OSCARS performance?

Exactly. What portion of any of that mesh of crap was celebrating the Golden Age of Musicals, especially Busby Berkeley? There wasn't even the prequisite Busby Berkeley kaleidescope overhead camera shot.
It looked like isolated background mish-mash behind a Christina Aguilera 'period' video. Nothing made any sense. It looked completely free-style/improvised.
I guess they needed to fill 3 minutes so they called Mickey's son to come in an hour earlier and whip that up with some random dancers.

Posted: 3/18/09 at 2:04amI would have preferred actual musical numbers merged into a medley. IMO, this was the furthest thing from a "musical" tribute.
