Museum of Natural History -- see the dinosaur exhibit.
Go to the zoo at Central Park.
Take a backstage tour of Radio City Music Hall.
Go to Coney Island and ride the Cyclone and eat a Nathan's Hotdog.
Go to the tourist information center right next door to All Shook Up and look at the fliers for things to do in NYC.

THIS CITY NEVER SLEEPS!!!!

I don't know if this will be your bag, but a friend of mine always took her kids to Jekyll and Hyde restaurant in Sheridan Square. That could be fun and different. As much as this city has to offer, you should do something NEW, not repeat the same thing for the umteenth time.

You could eat at Ellen's stardust diner, ride the fast elevators in the Mariot Marquis, go to Central Park, or go on the BEAST !!! the wonderful speed boat side on the upper west side across from the UPS building...im gonna think of others...

Ellen's is a bit too touristy for me :)

I've actually done the riding of the elevators in the Mariott a few times, lol.

The beast doesn't appeal to me much, though on weekends I do enjoy kayaking on the hudson on the UWS.

And I stagedoor so much that I know people in way too many shows and fear that I will become known as a stalker soon!

Corine, saw FB:SVU on Saturday night :)

And Itsucks, that's why I am looking to see what other people do or suggest. Yes I live here, that's why my outlook is jaded and I need other perspectives and suggestions to find stuff to do.

That's not true at all! I am thankful and appreciative that people are making suggestions, and there have been many great ones (that maybe other people besides me might be interested to hear as well). I've just been very fortunate to have done most of the things that people are suggesting! So I'm looking for the creative, new ideas that I'm sure many posters have.

Well, something I'm looking to get into having seen lotsa stuff on broadway already and looking for new ventures is opera.
"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli
