Dos anyone have a sense from previous events of this type (eg Lin’s last Hamilton show) whether ticket prices on stubhub and other reseller sites are likely to go up or down closer to the show? I’m seeing Stubhub seats for $877 right now, which is the lowest I’ve seen in weeks, and although I understand that’s lunacy, am seriously considering it. But if we think prices might go down, I’ll wait.
This show makes me do crazy things...

If you're going by Lin's last Hamilton as your example, then I don't think the prices ever came down... only went higher and higher.

Prices per listing MAY go down but that doesn't mean that the cheapest available seat goes down in price if others purchase them before you do.

If you're considering a reseller, use TickPick to save yourself the StubHub fees. Right now, the same seats in row L of the center mezzanine are $962 on StubHub, plus fees, or $958 on TickPick, without fees. I have a TickPick code for $25 off, NOFEE25, but I'm not sure if it still works.

I was really trying to avoid the reseller route, but I’m growing less confident in my ability to secure a ticket by any other means. My patience vs. my budget. Not sure yet which will win out.

I don't but don't know how the the system "holds" a seat before it can be found again. I wish there was a better way to help with these day-ofs and just buy it when it pops and pass it at face value to folks on here who are local

Wow! Really?!? That was my seat when I did cancellation line back in July center orchestra G104 (and my friend got G103) but we paid $199 each. I wonder if box office is now putting some cancellation tickets online to prevent line sitters from getting them?

What number in line do you need to be?
Friends, For those thinking of the cancellation line this weekend, please keep a close watch on the forecast. We're getting below or close to freezing overnight/early morning temps. Standing/sitting will make it feel even colder. You want some serious layering - stay safe.

I want to have a spot that would very likely result in a seat. Not sure what number that would be but I'm assuming among the top 5?

Then I recommend 8:30PM.
I went over to E14 and she was one of us. Yay!

A couple of times, I’ve just bought the ticket myself, confident that if I don’t want it, someone I know will. And I’ve never had a problem finding a buyer for a face value Ben Platt Evan Hansen ticket, either among my real life friends and family, or among this community and others like it. About a dozen of my friends have gotten to see the show because of tickets I found using the 4 day rule or similar tricks, and I’ve also both bought and sold to folks from this board who have similarly just scooped up a seat they saw. Worst case scenario, Telecharge will let you return it, because they know they always have buyers in the cancellation line.
