It was the Patti LuPone/Wynonna Judd show from a few years ago. Just brilliant theater.

Obviously it must be Spelling Bee:
Can I have a definition?

Ah, Stephen Sondheim "moments."
From Into the Woods:
Oh, if life were made of moments,
Even now and then a bad one--!
But if life were only moments,
Then you'd never know you had one...
And from Anyone Can Whistle:
Crazy business this, this life we live in.
Can't complain about the time we're given.
With so little to be sure of in this world,
We had a moment!
A marvelous moment!

It was probably when that arrogant asshole Thespis started doing callbacks in the middle of a dramatic religious chant ritual in ancient Greece.
They probably killed him, but now we have SHREK.
