Hey, so I was on Tumblr (I assume that most of you don't have one) and I found this:

"When I stagedoored Cinderella I met Laura and Ik every1 says how lovely she is but she was very cold to me she seemed bothered by everyone even though there were only 3 people stagedooring She rolled her eyes when I asked for a picture and her security guard rushes her along quite quickly when i told her I was a fan she gave a sarcastic oh really & scoffed at me it really made me very sad I have friends whove gone on separate occasions and theyve said she wasnt the nicest just a warning goodluck"

Did anyone else had this with her? Because I have been hearing nothing, but wonderful things about Laura and how sweet and down-to-earth she is. I mean, I can pictured her being tired (Obivously, she's a star) and shy, but a cold *****?

I experienced a situation that was slightly similar the second time I went to see Cinderella. The first I had missed Laura when she came out and this time I was pretty excited to meet her. When I talked to her she did seem a little distant, and when I told her all I had seen her in she seemed like it was a little off putting. I am in no way saying she was cold, but just a little distant. When I asked for a picture, she said sure, but then kept right down the line. On the flip side, I had heard from a lot of people that Harriet Harris could be cold at the stage door, but she was WONDERFUL. She even asked my name and we actually talked for a couple minutes and got a photo together. Like I said, I was a little timid when she came out the stage door from what I had heard, but she was wonderful. The Third time I went to see Cinderella, Laura was very sweet and her personality was night and day from the first time. It all just depends on how they are feeling that day I guess. We all have our off days.

When I met her at the Flea Market she did not really seem cold or distant just rushed. That is understandable with the amount of people that wanted to meet her. And you are right about Harriet! When I talked to her and Ann Harada at the Flea Market they could not have been sweeter! I had Millie and and Avenue Q window cards and they seemed very thankful I had brought them and seemed overwhelmed with nostalgia. To sum it up they were extremely kind and generous with their time.

She may have been having a bad day and honestly I've never had a negative experience when I've interacted with her. My suspicion is that she had a crappy day or something personal was going on and she reacted the same way the rest of us are and annoyed by everyone.

Cut the poor girl a break.

Actually, I saw Cinderella quiet recently. She was very sweet and enchanting in the show, then I felt the stage door experience was completely different. She seemed to have a puss face on the whole entire time and just had an attitude. But, I want to believe that she had a bad day, and or was tired. She seems like such a sweet woman, and I would be heart broken if her whole sweet act is just a facade.

Be lucky that she made an appearance on her off day.

Can't comment about Laura. But yay about Harriett. She was beyond cold and unfriendly when I met her backstage after "Millie" but who cares she was the best Meers

The past few years I've avoided waiting for performers I really like at stage door, in fear they would be cold. It's understandable, they're people too, but I just wouldn't want the risk of anything clouding my view of them when I saw them in future things. That is why I think it is going to be very hard to avoid Toni Collette at the stage door come spring. Just in case Laura Osnes Stage Door

My guess is (and it's a fairly informed guess) that if you took a poll of the actors/musicians/crew at Cinderella, they would almost to a person describe Laura as one of the nicest, sweetest and most genuine persons that they have ever worked with.

Happy New Year everyone.

That's very odd, because I went to the stage door after I saw the show a week after it opened. I told her I had seen her in a lot of recent shows and how happy I was to see her continuing on and being successful and she was very sweet and had no problem taking a picture with me.

I can't imagine what might have been going on with Laura that day. On Twitter I have several times seen fans express disappointment when they had gone to the stage door after a performance when she did not appear to sign autographs. Mostly, those same fans later tweet their amazement after Laura has sent them private messages apologizing and explaining why she did not come out on that occasion.

I have met Laura three times and each time she could not have been lovelier. One time I told her that I had been following her career since the reality show and that I was very proud of the classy way in which she has subsequently developed both her talents and her career. She spontaneously touched her heart and began to cry. We spoke a couple of minutes more and Laura went on to the next person. All of this took place standing in the rain on a cold evening.

Wait? The same Laura who went back into the Broadway theatre to get me a "clean" version of the Playbill so I could have a signed copy and another and THEN showed me how to take the filters of my iPhone 5 camera? Yep. She's a bitch. Really people? Give me a break. She's human. She had a bad day. Move on.

Side note: Kadu is that a picture of yourself?

I went to the stage door and met her. There were a lot of people. She was extremely kind to everyone, stopped and took pictures, signed things. I took a picture with her and told her I was huge fan, and she was very flattered and sweet. Her security guard just asked that everyone had their cameras and playbills ready.

When she was down to her last few shows in "Anything Goes" (to go do Bonnie & Clyde), a friend of the friend I was with texted her at intermission. He texted us back that she asked, if it wouldn't be too much trouble, if we could wait till about 30min after the show and then come to the stage door and tell the attendant she wanted to come back out for us. So we did, the attendant gave us a "oh sure" look but dutifully called it back, moments later she came out (there were about five people left at stage door). Spent 15min just chatting with us after she had already stage doored and gone back in, because her friend had asked her to...and willing stopped our conversation for the two young girls who timidly asked if they could get their pictures with her, she even spent a min or so each time chatting them up knowing it probably made their NY trips. At a time when she was probably doing B&C during the day and then Anything Goes at night. Total self-absorbed b*tch. Or complete opposite from it...

I rarely post here but when I read this thread I was so incredibly angered that I had to reply back.

First off, if the message in the first post is true (and honestly, with the writing of the letter, it looks like a ten year old wrote it) they need to get a life. Performers are people and have bad days just like anyone else. I honestly think this person had outrageous expectations for her (maybe invite her backstage for some tea?) after hearing what a wonderful person she was. I have never heard ONE negative thing about Laura. So shame on this person for spreading such crap about her because anyone that has met her even for a split second knows none of this is true. Also, shame on the original poster for posting this crap. Any search for a thread about any of the stage doors that Laura did will prove this is not true.

Second off, my personal Laura story. :P I have only seen her once live, it was during Bonnie & Clyde. It was the week the show opened and buzz was already swirling about how the show may close before the new year starts and so on. I had pretty high expectations thanks to many of the posters here and I was not disappointed one bit. The audience was also incredibly responsive towards it and a woman behind me at intermission said it was one of the best first acts she ever saw. I also heard Kathy Lee Gifford talking about it after the end of act one (she was two rows behind me) talking about how great it was.

When I did the stage door and Laura came out, she was sweet as can be. I gushed about the show telling her how absolutely wonderful it was and the critics just didn't know what they're talking about and simply giving it less than favorable reviews because it was a Wildhorn show. She agreed and said it was one of the best experiences of her life working on the show. I then told her that no matter what happened in the future that she should know that this show has touched many lives. I told her about the reviews here, the comments I heard at intermission and walking out. Before saying anything she gave me a giant hug and had tears in her eyes and then asked ME if we could pose for a picture. We took two, one for my phone and one for hers.

So shame on these people... This thread is disgusting and just spreading ridiculous hate rumors about a wonderful person.

I met Laura while she was in Bonnie & Clyde and she was very friendly. She not only signed 2 Playbills for me but also took 2 photos with me.

There are elements to this story that simply do not ring true. Only three people stage dooring Cinderella? A security guard "rushing her along" despite the fact there were only three? No mention of other actors at the stage door? How about this for a theory: Three eBay hounds ambushed Laura Osnes on the way into the theater, each carrying an armload of crap they were obviously going to try to sell as soon as they got it autographed. She was accommodating anyway, agreeing to sign only a single item before she went into the theater even though she knew why they were there. This ticked them off, so they decided to retaliate by relating an edited version of events online. Plausible? I think so.

I know feel really guilty now. I wasn't trying to spread hate or anything. I was seeing if anyone had a negative experience since that one was like the first one since Laura seems so sweet. I'm very sorry about this. Is there anywsy to delete this?
