Did Anyone Go to the Spring Awakening Billboard Signing? (with PICTURES!)- Page 2

i think its a nice billboard, and its a nice picture of the cast, but i think that the "Winner! 2007 Tony Award Best Musical" looks dumb just like...trying to make it look like grafitti. Looks tacky.
And are they going to change the billboard when new cast members come in in the future, or just keep as a kind of memory of the original cast?

timote--the clapping after totally f*cked has been happening a bit before the Tony's happened. I saw it before the nominations were annouced and it happened.

As for the third round of company bows? it's been happening since early Jan because it happened when I was there in Jan and it was really before the huge hype really started with the fangirls etc.

i saw the poster yesterday - defiantly not the best of pictures. however i did love the other posters they put up.

The only people that the photo does justice to are the adults and Lauren...everyone else looks awkward. Krysta looks hunchbacked and deformed, and the lighting makes Remy's face look demented. I have seen way better pictures of the cast in magazine spreads and such.

I think it is kind of cool. I think it is a nice "connection", so to speak, between the characters they play and being themselves in the poster representing/connecting with teens of today. (Whom they want to see the show) And the fact that their characters kind of move into the present when they are singing with the mics. I kinda think that's what they are going for. Just a thought.

I passed it after my matinee today. It's a great shot - everyone looks amazing in it - but I feel they're trying to sell the show more on the hype of the cast than the actual show itself. More of the fan aspect - there are many that claim they love the show, but absolutely MUST stage door afterwards and talk to the cast.

It's more of a cast thing than a show thing, I guess. "Let's make this the next RENT!"

I just saw the new billboard today. I thought it was cool. My friend from who never saw the show especially liked the billboard.


I was a bit sad the the old posters around the box office are replaced with new ones. The new ones are cool though. It's a nice change.

i heard there were brand new pictures and stuff on the outside of the theatre, and id be interested to see them!

I think it's a pretty decent picture though. Both "adults" look great! and Jonathan Groff could be wearing a potato sack and I would still think he was hot!

The billboard that's hanging now is NOT the one that was signed. (The signatures are printed as part of the billboard and apparently aren't even in the same places.) Does anyone know what happened to the original billboard?

It's probably hanging somewhere backstage for the cast.
