Did anyone see Ragtime at LaGuardia Arts HS?

I saw it opening night, everything was amazing except for whoever was running the microphones messed up on a few too many occasions. Was it a student or a teacher? I hope that was fixed for the later performances.

Believe it or not, the microphone person was an outside professional. The problem was that all 46 of us were mic'd, and he had never handled that many mic's, and he only rehearsed with us for two days. They improved slightly with each performance.

I think that this would be allowed, but if not, I'll remove it with a PM. Here is a brief, horrible-quality clip of me on "that site". I am wearing a different costume and no mic, and you can only hear a few instruments, but w/e. I love how I'm the only performer on the site.

Hey, I saw it on the third day. It was really great! You were great and the person who played Sarah was espicially good.

Glad to hear it went well. I wish I could have seen it - I try to make it back to see the musical every year (as a LAG alum).

I went! We went on Saturday. Other than the fact that it started pretty late, the show was awesome. Particular favorites were you, the girl who played Sarah, and the guy who played Tateh (their names are escaping me right now).

I'm glad the show went so well.

Fun fact- Lilli Cooper (of Spring Awakening) was originally supposed to play Sarah's Friend.

That's OK! It was an almost sold-out run, anyway. You'll HOPEFULLY have many opportunities to see me perform (on the Broadway stage lol), and to see Ragtime.

Wow, your pit sounded great for high school kids. Our High School pit sounds like crap even with kids mixed in with adults. Great musicians...and you had some good high notes too (bwaylvsong)

The lights and costumes look great, but is it just me, or does the set look like Jersey Boys?
