You know sometimes shows can be horrific flops and yet still have great cast albums.
Look at Leader of the Pack. (Okay I actually liked the show but I was also a kid at the time)... But now as an adult I think whew what a piece of dreck but the show music is great!

You obviously haven't listened to any Lloyd Webber cast recordings.
Or Sondheim for that matter.
