As I've mentioned before in other threads, I'm taking my 14 year old son on a weekend trip in just a few weeks. Our plan is to see all the shows we can (culture!) and fill in the gaps with sightseeing and food. We're in town from Friday to Monday which theoretically means we can see five shows, a theatrical marathon. We already have tickets to King Kong and Phantom of the Opera, his choices. This will be his first time in NYC.
So for the other three slots I'm thinking Hamilton lottery and failing that, My Fair Lady (my choice for him), TPTGW (TKTS fallback), maybe Aladdin. We're purposely skipping School of Rock because we've got touring tickets later this year.
I haven't found a location to buy discounted tickets to Aladdin or My Fair Lady-any wisdom there? Also, what suggestions or thoughts do you have. What's not on my radar that should be? What would you do if you were in my position?

I think your best bet is through TKTS at the Lincoln Center location. I've seen MFL there at 40% off. If you're under 35 years of age, you're eligible for Linctix... where seats tend to be in extreme side orchestra. That's where I sat back in June and loved it!
Good luck! The cheapest tickets from the box office is $97 in the loge.

Consider Once on This Island!

Not the OP, but thank you so much for mentioning this. I'm not a New Yorker and didn't know about the LincTix program, but I'll definitely use it for my upcoming trip!
(One more year of being able to take advantage of Under 35 discounts. Sigh)

For most 14-year-old boys, especially ones that are interested in King Kong and Phantom, I'd recommend Come from Away, Once on This Island, or even Waitress over My Fair Lady.
