101 Dalmatians.

why does someone create this thread once a week?
A little swash, a bit of buckle - you'll love it more than bread.

I have said it once and I will say it again...

Newsies

and

Polly (the version of Phylicia Rashad & Keisha Knight Pullam)
"Whenever I get gloomy with the state of the world, I think about the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport. General opinion's starting to make out that we live in a world of hatred and greed, but I don't see that. It seems to me that love is everywhere. Often it's not particularly dignified or newsworthy, but it's always there - fathers and sons, mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, boyfriends, girlfriends, old friends. When the planes hit the Twin Towers, as far as I know none of the phone calls from the people on board were messages of hate or revenge - they were all messages of love. If you look for it, I've got a sneaky feeling you'll find that love actually is all around."

Der Fuehrer's Face
Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

Rybka - I used to work with an affiliate of Disney.

You wouldn't believe how many producers (and companies) have attempted to buy the rights to make NEWSIES a staged musical.

Disney will not budge... unless things have changed in the last couple of years. I never really found out why but they are extremely reluctant to bring it on stage.

It could be a huge hit as a musical, in my opinion.

can someone tell me how 101 Dalmatians could be a musical?

I thought about it a few months ago and couldn't even think about how it could be done - unless they do it SITPWG style?

I would LOVE to see Newsies on stage!

Well then maybe they could try and bring Polly to the stage. It would be an ANNIE for the new audiences. The story was great and the music is wonderful. I love it!

Oh come on. You realise they don't use real fish in 'The Little Mermaid', right? Get a chorus of kids, dress 'em in spotty PJs, and don't let them stand still long enough for people to count 'em.

As I posted on the many treads like this, Mulan and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

And the next musical Disney will produce is The Man in the Ceiling.

I think it's great that Dinsey is producing another musical that isn't based on one of their animated movies. Especially one that has Andrew Lippa's involvement! I'm truly looking forward to that production.
