I say Disney's next show is going to cut the crap and get to the point. It's called "Hello, Dollars!"
jagfkb, why would Tarzan replace The Lion King in the Minskoff? It's still doing very well, and I don't know why Disney would want to close Lion King and put Tarzan (Revised or not) in the Minskoff.
finding nemo not so much because the little mermaid is coming. alddian(sry if its spely wrong,my bad). very memorable songs.
i will love to see newsies as a bway musical.
high school musical sry i dont think so it is better as a tv musical. we already have legally blonde and grease is coming back late next month. grease and hsm are very simliar.

The German recording of 'Hunchback' is stunning.

This is gonna sound stupid, but I would love to see a Disney-esque Into the Woods.
I would love sleeping Beauty, but the thorns and the dragon may be too much.
"Hunchback won't make it to Broadway because Disney was mad that James Lapine made the ending too sad and made the show in general too dark to be considered a family show. But then again, Aida was more for adults."
I'm still wondreing how they chose Lapine...
I think it would be interesting to see how hey would perform the show, ark or not. I think it would do well critically.
I wanna see the production of Tarzan revised. It could tour by Cirque du Soleli (tents?).
In the early 90s Keshia Knight Pulliam and Phylicia Rashad starred a made for TV Disney movie adaption of "Pollyanna" called "Polly." I would love to see this come to the stage.

I agree with Aladdin. Many people have said that it is already in the works, does anyone know anything more precise about this?
I'm pretty sure this is a Disney movie but... ROCKADOODLE. If some of the scenic locations were scaled down a little and some stuff would definitley have to change, but it would be SOO much fun!! This movie is definitley my favorite cartoon movie.

Aladdin.
They already have a staged version of Aladdin in Disneyland and it's really good. I defintely think it would work well on Broadway.
Also, Hunchback would be amazing, and if they made the Finding Nemo musical longer, that would be fantastic.
Or, they could try an original musical... On the Disney Cruise Lines, they have a show called Twice Charmed, which is what Cinderella 3 was semi-based on. and I love the songs from the show as well.
And I've heard a rumor that they are creating a Toy Story musical for the cruise next year, so maybe they could turn that into a Broadway show down the line...

I would rather have no hunchback than have a happy hunchback.

If they do it right, with some really good music and some cool scenery Aladdin could be awesome.
Hercules could be great too with the right people involved. If they try and make it to big of a show it's not gonna work.

Aladdin would be great. "A Friend Like Me" would be a total showstopper if done right.
I vote for Aladdin...with a beautiful Indian Aladdin and Jasmine and a wonderful tribute to Eastern culture and those great showstopping numbers as mentioned before. It's one of their most popular 90s movies and makes me just as excited to see it as when I heard they were bringing The Little Mermaid!
Also, the songs from Hunchback are so beautiful. They could surprise everyone by doing a darker version of the show and not making it the usual Disney fare for once!!
And Hercules, of course, would be sumptuous. With that gospel muse choir and a hunky god character, you can't go wrong
I know they are working on bringing Oliver & Company to the stage. It just cries for a stage version. One of Disney's biggest hits.

What does Jonathan Pryce have to do with it? He's too old for Jafar anyways and doesn't seem like a Jafar at all...he'd be Sultan before Jafar..

Jonathan Pryce played a Viatnamese in Miss Saigon and was under a lot of fire for it, even though he was great in the role. Plus, isn't it illegal to use any type of darkening/lightening make-up to play a different race on stage anymore? At least, that's what my choir director told me...
