With BATB and now Tarzan closing. Do you think Disney is going to get another show in the works?

Absolutely nothing. The're done with Tarzan now closing. Pointless to try anything else.

If it's so beloved, why have I never heard of it?

Maybe they should do Aladdin. Make it over the top kinda like BATB-people would love it!

They are working on the script to ALADDIN.

I don't know where they are in the process.

A while back I remember seeing some form of Aladdin perform. Maybe in a Disney parade. They did "friend like me"-quite cool-they had 12 guys in the same physique to pop out when the genie multiplies.

Yeah...and that ridiculous rumor of THE LITTLE MERMAID opening at the Lunt-Fontanne in a few months had no merit to it.

A revival of AIDA...with all of Zoser's songs cut, thereby making it a good show.

The Disney parade of Aladdin was the highlight of my childhood. They performed (at least at that part of the parade) "Prince Ali". It was spectacular -- at least when I was an adolescent. I actually have part of it on video. re: Disney's Next Show

Although I'm not a huge fan of Disney on Broadway, I'd kill to see:

They can't do Pocahontas! If you want the reason, it's wikipedia somewhere.

They should take a break for awhile, then tackle the Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Yes yes yes yes yes!!! They should try to make it as similar to the German version as possible because it's much darker and far more for adults than children. But of course, Disney is all about fluff and kiddy friendly BS, so I doubt they'd do that. re: Disney's Next Show

Aladdin remains my favorite movie of all time. I wouldn't mind seeing it on stage.

From Wikipedia . . .

"Numerous attempts have been made to turn Pocahontas into a live-action Disney musical, akin to The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast on Broadway. However, it has been difficult to logistically transfer the film to the stage because of potential technical problems. A stage is limited by size, and several scenes such as "Colors of the Wind" and the final scene where Pocahontas runs after the English ship, would have to be reconceived entirely, which would likely diminish their crucial power on the story.[citation needed] "

Oh please. Heaven forbid we reconceive.

Wikipedia can be updated by anyone, including you or me. And the person who wrote that wikipedia update is obviously an idiot.
