I would really like to see that. I never got the chance to see Beauty and the Beast. Are they using the same set or a new one?

So it will only be a holiday thing just for the winter season before Addams Family comes in?

It would actually work out with the tour. The tour is not set to start until Feb. 9, 2010. That would give them time to do the Winter engagement then move out & let Addams Family to move in.

Nemo or Alladin?
Other than that, did you enjoy the play Mrs Lincoln?

Not sure what theater it'll be or who the tenant will be after, but Disney is smart with this. It'll be a "November-January deal, hopefully a "seasonal offering."
That's according to them.
That's according to them.

This makes me even madder that Disney closed Beauty and the Beast just so TLM could have a theater. I think everyone can agree that BATB was much better than TLM in every way! They close a show that's making money to bring in TLM and then it loses money, flops, and closes. Please bring it back soon Disney!

I'm betting the Lunt. With this new info coming up I'm willing to bet that their lease isn't even up at the end of August.

broadwayboy, besides it being better than Mermaid, Beauty was just a brilliant show and a huge hit, better than a lot of shows on Broadway (at least, in my opinion). Disney made a huge mistake closing it.

And to think, before BatB premiered it was being thought that it would ruin Broadway & yet it had the opposite effect.

I hate that people are going to be out of the job but I just hope this will make Thomas Schumacher what a huge mistake he made closing BATB, hopefully the rumors of a limited run during the holiday season are true

I can tell you with 95% certainty that it will happen

Not to rain on anyone's parade but, LoveIsCompany, who are you and why should we believe you?

I wouldn't expect an announcement until later. And I'm a performer, I'll leave it at that.

I hope they don't add a Christmas song, though. Granted, they added "A Change in Me" and it became my favorite song in the show, but an added Christmas song sounds cheep. Though, I wouldn't be completely apposed to it being tacked on for the curtain call. Maybe with some snow? That could be fun.

I would love to see BatB again at Christmas. That would be fun.

I'm glad that there's a possibility of it returning to Bway for a limited run but it would still probably be running anyway if it hadn't of been closed for TLM

Ya know? The thought of Lion King out running Beauty and The Beast just sends chills down my spine. I've had this fantasy of Lion King closing next summer and the revival of Beauty going into the Minskoff, but I doubt that will happen...

Would you by any chance know if they are trying to get Steve Blanchard back?
