I think if a star is headlining a show " GYPSY starring PATTI LUPONE" and if she is out, then the audience has every right to complain and get money back. If it's something like WICKED and the standby goes on then who gives a fck. I'm sure both Elphabas are equally qualified.

The most recent Gypsy revival was during my first year living here. My sister came up, well not to visit but to see Gypsy. Before the show there was an announcement that 'Ms. Lupone had injured her ankle earlier in the week so In tonight's performance, [pause] the character of Mama Rose woudl be wearing comfortable shoes.'
There was a huge gasp at the pause and a huge sigh and laughter at the end.
I have to say that Lindsay Mendez was out when I saw Wicked, and even tho she was the reason I was seeing it again, Donna Vivino was not just amazing but easily one of my favorite Elphabas, not that I have seen all that many.

I know right? It's not worth going at all if you can't have a ten-second interaction with a complete stranger with a physically exhausting job. You want a nap or some dinner on your two show day, Andrea Martin? Well, screw you and your take out. You owe the people every moment of your time.

Sorry, troll, but Kelly2 was being sarcastic.
Should we expect you to be at the stage door for IF/THEN every performance next year?

I told you I don't live in NY but when I visit three times a year I like to spend my free time outside the Richard Rodgers theatre.
BTW calling someone a troll is racist. It implies I have nappy hair.

How did you arrive at the conclusion that being a troll is in any way equated with your hairstyle?
Either you don't know what a troll is in internet lingo or you are looking to play a race card for some bizarre reason.

Posted: 8/10/13 at 7:42amGenerally I do avoid matinees because there are certain shows that the lead will not be in them (exp. Jersey Boys) because the vocal is too tough to handle two shows in a day. I am also more of a night time person so I prefer seeing a evening show and then making a night of it in NYC after the show. I have seen a few very good matinee performances, one example was "Hairspray" many years ago.

Okay, we've just crossed the border from Insanityworld into BeyondRidiculousLand.
Don't feed this construct anymore.
(I don't know, is "construct" a racist term too? I hope so.)

"I am also bitter because the moderators took down my personal Chicago The Musical at the Hollywood bowl review post with pictures I took just because it was not a rave. "
You are bitter because you are a moron. And your post was removed because you posted illegal pictures. Your writing in infantile and your web site is a piece of garbage.
Why do you feel you are owed anything, by any one on this site?
Troll.

Wow...
Funny, my friend posted this on twitter the other day for some people who had crossed a line with another celebrity. It also reminds me of the girl I saw on My Crazy Obsession who works at night so she can go celebrity stalking all day in NYC. It totally fits here. It is from Wil Wheaton:

Posted: 8/10/13 at 1:55pmThe best part of his story is that he thinks he developed some self respect because after 4 failed attempts to get her to sign his stupid poster, for attempts 5 and 6, he had a mindless lackey do it for him. What a pathetic, empty life he must lead.

And then certain people on here wonder why obsessive fans scare us so much... Just because it's not directly impacting my life doesn't mean it can't concern or terrify me on a personal level. I feel bad for those celebrities and actors who have to encounter this self-entitled POS.
