Apropos Southern Comfort, a musical at the Public that was originally a documentary. I can think of Hands on a Hardbody. But what other plays or musicals were based on documentary films?

I don't think Strictly Ballroom was based on a documentary. The musical was based on the 1992 comedy-drama film, which itself sprang from an earlier play (by Baz Luhrmann).
