SWEENEY TODD would never work as a film. I highly doubt any studio would ever greenlight a film-version PLUS I highly doubt Stephen Sondheim would permit this to happen especially after the enormous fiasco the film-version of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC became.

I guess this thread is a stupid joke, right? I just posted the RAVE review they gave the film. AND the film is, apparently, almost all sung-through AND it sounds like a great deal of the music is in the film.
