Does Broadway Hate The Jews?

How about a stage version of Adam Sandler's animagted movie "Eight Crazy Nights"?

Does Broadway Hate The Jews?

Chanukah is actually one of the least important Jewish holidays. People just make a big deal out of it because it's around the same time as Christmas and they don't want Jewish kids to feel left out. I say we should have a Rosh Hashana spectacular!

You make an excellent point. So how about a "Purim Pectacular"?

Perhaps someday Roundabout will do a revisal of Sister Act and set it in a synagogue.

With Justin Beiber in the Whoopi role.

The fact that Jackie Mason has brought his Borscht Belt humor to Broadway ten different times shows how much Broadway hates the Jews. Oy vey can't we find any funny Jews?
If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

OH, my...how hilarious is this thread! Sometimes it's just FUN to be an outsider. BTW, Jordan, were you at Shera and Bobby's annual Hannukah "grease-fest" (latkes and jelly donuts), with that"to die for" Klezmer band?

"I want a musical where little Mordecai dreams of getting Tallit but is told its too dangerous and he'll strangle himself."

Yes, yes! We'll call it "A Hannukah Story" where Mordecai tries to get his parents to get that Tallit but his rabbi and his mother crush his dreams and both sing a song called "You'll Shoot Your Eye Out".

OH wait a minute...I think this is currently being done somewhere. Sort of. :)

I don't recall a huge number of Ash Wednesday musicals either. Must be hatred towards Christians for ignoring that holiday -- about the same amount of importance to the Christian calendar as Hannukah is to the Jewish calendar.

The Christian faith is based on the importance of Christmas -- but the Jewish faith is hardly based on the importance of Hannukah. But that said, the Christmas musicals rarely have anything to do with the Christian faith anyway -- but rather a celebration of the non-religious holiday, so what's the point of the OP again?

An oldie but a goodie:

Q - What do you get when you lock a Jewish man and a gay man in a room at the same time?

A - A BROADWAY MUSICAL!
