Does Idina sign after concerts?

I'm seeing in concert in a few days and was wondering if she signs afterwards. Also - does she sign things from her past shows? I want her to sign my Wicked playbill and Rent CD. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

She does!

But I warn you, security around the concert hall may try to push you away. When I saw her, the security guards kept saying "she's not leaving from here" at every door I went to and starting saying that "she left already." There were about 200 people who were waiting around for her, but eventually, it became only 20-30 people.

Not necessarily. She doesn't like to sign. Depending on the venue, she'll have staff check to see if everyone has gone before leaving. I mean, you can wait for 3 hours if you want, but if they're waiting backstage for 3 hours just to avoid you, is it really worth it?

She's been to my hometown twice, and signed after both. The first was a large crowd and unorganized, so I didn't stay. The second time around, security had everyone form a line that she came down and it was nice. There were a lot of people but it went smooth. She was very friendly and kind both times, so good luck!

the only experience I ever had with this was like 3 years ago after a concert. It was really unorganized, and a total madhouse, but she signed for people. She clearly looked very unhappy though. It left an unpleasant taste in my mouth and I decided I would never try to go up against the "Fanzels" again.

A friend of mine went to see her a few years ago. My friend spent two hours with a group of people trying to find where they could meet her. When they finally found the door that Idina would be exiting from security told them to leave or they would call the police.

Saw her in Columbus last June, and the stagedoor people at Columbus Commons couldn't have been any more rude. They told us "You are going to be so disappointed when she doesn't come out." Muttering things like "She ain't signing" and such under their breath. It took her a little over an hour, but she came out, and couldn't have been sweeter. She's very shy and quiet but she signed for every last person and when people spoke to her she looked them directly in the eye and said "Thank you" and such. Very sweet woman.

She signs nearly every time - only times she doesn't is if she has an early flight to catch or her son to get home to. And even then, she'll usually sign quickly on her way out.

Venues don't always prepare for the chaos her presence can create at the stage door - especially the "traditional" orchestra venues - security is not really a problem for them so they don't even have those bike racks to set up to organize the waiting fans.

I don't believe she waits inside 3 hours to avoid signing; I've been there numerous times where it was a 2-3 hour wait - because she's meeting with dozens of people backstage - orchestra members and their families, venue donors, friends, family, or even working on other things. She doesn't rush through meet & greets, and a long wait at the stage door is the result.

They're there to protect the actor(s), so don't expect them to always be the nicest people. I've heard crazy stage door crowd stories, so I don't blame them.

I know what they are there to do, but as no one was doing anything remotely out of line, I thought it was slightly over the top, especially since they were saying it while laughing at those of us waiting.

If people had been acting out I would have understood them.

Especially out of NY, doubt it. They're there to protect their own interests, translation: leave early.

Edit: want to add Idina was fantastic when I waited to get a playbill signed with my niece at Wicked as was Kristin.

That said...Kristin was kinda the perfect model, I believe, for stage dooring. She is so utterly charming!
