According to the rumor mill buzzing around the city today Alex Newelll of Fox's Glee will be stepping into those Fabulous Red Stiletto Boots in Kinky Boots as Lola. Can anyone verify this Rumor?

Broadway just snatched the second Lola from the tour to fill in for Billy, so I'm not sure.

What do you mean to fill in? I thought Billy came back last month and was contracted thru January 2016?? Sorry, this is just making me stressed because I saw the show in January and he was sick, so I was gonna try and catch billy in the show later in the year after his break. (Which I thought was over)

Yes, I'm an usher at the Hirschfeld, and Billy Porter is back as Lola and is as wonderful as ever.

I could see him being involved in NBC's Wiz. Although he has ties with FOX, maybe Teen Angel in Grease?

That makes me so happy to hear! Do you know if there is a certain day he doesn't perform? (Like Ramin Karimloo is off thursday nights) Or is he scheduled to go on every night and I should just press my luck?

Billy Porter is known for his stellar attendance record, and he has no day of the week where he isn't scheduled to perform (like Ramin). So, pick a day and enjoy the show!

Porter will be out for a few days in early August when he plays the Pittsburgh tour stop, so maybe he'll sub for him then?

Unless things have changed, Kyle Taylor Parker.. who filled in for Billy during his winter break...will be back in August when he and Billy swap places for the Pittsburgh portion of the tour - enabling Billy to perform in his home town.
