I think she very well might have done my favorite rendition of "On My Own" that I have ever heard. That's impressive.

I know she was in Martin Guerre as well.

Christmas Eve on Ave.Q ...to be honest my first thought was that it would be a bit polar but if she does Christmas Eve in alleyways on Ave.Q saved for the encore, that will be something to see. So you coming?

more random thoughts...do you think she can 'solve the problem that is Maria' in The Sound of Music? When the show comes to Toronto next year...it would be lovely way to return wouldn't it.

...and perhaps i'm being bias but no one moves me like she does in her rendition of On My Own....or even I'd Give My Life For You...no one can touch that like she does.
...but i'm just saying.

They are casting an unknown through a television show. They wouldn't consider Ma-Anne for TSOM.

Yeah i noticed...and Ma-Anne is entitled to speak bout her own vibrato. Personally, i like it...i haven't found it annoying yet.

question... does anyone know why she never performed miss saigon on broadway?? from what i've heard and seen, she probably ranks as one of the top women for me to ever do the role of KIM... the fact she performed it in london, australia, toronto proves it (well to me that is).... she must not have any equity problems if she performed in Flower Drum Song and the Les Mis tours....

and on a side note... Jennifer Paz should have played Kim on Broadway.... she was awesome!

We certainly do in Toronto! Her performance in teh Toronto production of MISS SAIGON impressed even teh critics who hated the show. A few years later she played Dot in the Toronto premiere of SUNDAY IN THE PARK WITH GEORGE, again earning rave reviews. She is as talented as she is gracious.

I too wonder what she has been up to of late.

Wasn't she supposed to have a CD coming out? I was lucky enough to see her in Les Miz and loved her. A great Eponine.
