Dogfight casting?

Has anyone heard anything about casting for Second Stage's upcoming production of Dogfight? I know they've started rehearsals but I can't seem to find anything that indicates who's in the show.

I actually asked at 2nd Stage the other night and was told it would "be announced" soon.

That's weird. never heard of show announcing casting after rehearsals have started...wonder if someone dropped out at the last minute...

I've convinced myself that a certain actress is going to be in this show, and she just posted on her Twitter that she can announce what her next project is tomorrow, so hopefully we'll have an announcement then!

Let's just say she's leaving her Broadway show today and her name sort of rhymes with Whimsy Penheads. And if I'm right, I'm gonna freak out because she's absolutely perfect for the part in Dogfight.

Mendez actually resembles Dogfight-era Lili Taylor quite a bit.

Is Max Crumm in it? He tweeted the other day that he was going to sing for Joe Mantello, but that seemed like an odd way of phrasing that he was starting rehearsals.

I still don't understand why they didn't announce the casting BEFORE they got into rehearsal? It makes me think that either someone dropped out at the last minute, OR there was some weird Davenport-ian clause in Lindsay's contract that she couldn't promote other productions while under contract...blah blah blah. It's just a weird situation.

They just began rehearsals on Friday, and they're announcing tomorrow. It's not like they've waited a terribly long time.
