I don't think its an odd question if an actor is considering auditioning.
I used to go to Dollywood yearly, so I have seen many of the shows. I think they are a fair amount better than your average theme park shows with higher production values and usually live musicians (not canned music). Dolly Parton is a musician and the park started out as a more of music park and a place where craftspeople made their wares.
Its not glamourous by any means but if you are starting out it would be a good way to cut your teeth on getting used to the grind of performing.
