Donna was AMAZING when I saw her back in November. Just getting that out there. Her voice was beyond amazing, and she did great job just in general. The Glinda was not anything special though...
I saw this in Minneapolis in November. Donna is an amazing Elphaba. Melissa Bohon was in for Katie Rose Clarke as Galinda, and she was absolutely hysterical! Her Popular was side-splitting.
To those asking, Nessarose is now played by DeeDee Magno Hall, of Micky Mouse Club fame. Loved her as well.
is Marcie the elphaba for the second national tour? When I looked on their website, they didn't have the dates separated as to which ones were for which tour.. and the cast for the tour did not include her as I assume it is the cast for the 1st national tour, but for some reason, I hope she isn't...
I just saw the tour show in Southern California and Donna Vivino simply blew me away with her flawless performance. After seeing Idina and Soshana, no other Elphabas have impressed me. She simply outstaged Chandra Lee Schwartz too. Brava, Donna! She should perform the role on Broadway after this tour.

When you go to the site, click on the specific touring venue company info, and it will feature the cast and pictures, different stops have different casts. Primarily larger cities will have the 1st Tour. I wonder who is replacing Donna Vivino. I am seeing the tour in new Orleans in march and I hope we get someone good!

I wonder how many people have no idea who they actually saw in any one production. Judging from the number of program insert slips dropped on the floor, I bet a lot.
I was at the show last night as well musicaltheater1. Donna is fantastic in the role. I think she sings it better than anyone I've seen. (FYI - last night was Chandra's first night in the show - 2nd time with costumes, and 1st time with the full company. I thought she was pretty great.)
^^ That's great to hear! Do you have anything else to say about her performance? Does she use an annoying squeaky Glinda voice, or is it more along the lines of Kendra Kassebaum or Katie Rose Clarke?
Her Glinda is not squeaky and annoying. She was definitely figuring out where her laughs were a bit last night, so a (very) few things got lost or were rushed. She also had a sass on occasion that was really funny. And, she sounded great. Updated On: 8/22/09 at 12:52 PM
Slightly, but not too toned down. I really didn't feel it effected the show at all. The only one that bothered me at all was no bridge for Glinda/ Fiyero to walk across during I'm Not That Girl.
@otis33 - Wasn't that a great show? Sold out and definitely deserving of the roaring applauses and standing ovation. Vivino definitely nailed Elphaba. Natural and powerful!
@threetwoone - Chandra still needs to be comfortable with the role but was not bad at all. Give her time and she will definitely stand out just like the other Glinda's I've seen.
@BroadwayBound115 - Just a tad toned down but it still has the grand curtain with the map, the dragon on top, clock work set, great effects and lighting and set design as Broadway's. The Wizard's head does not spit fire.

Saw Donna go on for Carmen Cusack (ended up seeing both, Donna was much better)
She was fantastic vocally, but looks exactly like Shoshana Bean onstage
