Looks great! Excited to see all of them!

It's interesting that they still have the same cast listed for Three Sisters on the NYTW website https://www.nytw.org/show/three-sisters/

Yet they seem to be shying away from advertising them. There's no mention of the star-studded cast in the press release linked above, nor are they featured on the season page (by contrast, before COVID they had Greta Gerwig and Oscar Isaac's faces front and center).

Do we think maybe (a) they're afraid to advertise them heavily in case they drop out, and have a lot of angry patrons? or (b) they haven't actually secured the stars for the rescheduled run, but forgot to remove the cast section from the show page when they altered it for the new run? The former seems more likely, but if that's the case, why not play it on the safe side and just withhold the info altogether?

I feel like there might be some wonderful material in here, but I'm slightly tentative about Whitney White's "remote virtual experience and an intimate and immersive theatrical installation" and Victor Cazares' "multi-media production which includes live performance, live camera feeds and pre-recorded video." I think both White and Cazares are really exciting theater-makers, but coming off of a year and a half of Zoom meetings and virtual events, I'm so uniquely unexcited about theater that isn't 100% live. I've loved projects in the past that have really played with live and filmed elements, but...I don't know. Right now, I want to be in a room with people and not have to look at anything that looks remotely like a screen. But! Keeping an open mind. Will just wait on some word of mouth before checking those out.

And JBroadway, I wonder if the cast of Three Sisters is mooooostly locked down but NYTW doesn't want to promise them until everyone is officially in place? There's some incredible talent in that cast, including the theater actors who aren't "names." Bernstine and Maher are two of my favorite performers.

I think it's safe to assume that THREE SISTERS cast is "pending availability." It's more than a year away and you can't really get actors as big as Gerwig, Isaac, and Buscemi to work around a contract that pays $800 a week.
