Okay two things--
HOW did "THE GERSHWNS'" PORGY AND BESS win for its tinny, canned Sound Desigh?
AND HOW(!!!) did ONCE win Best Lyrics? Surely Maury Yeston and Jack Feldman were more deserving. I actually think Yeston should have won Best Music and Feldman should have won Best Lyrics, BUT, you know how these award morons are...

Posted: 6/7/12 at 1:25amAs much as I would have loved to see Feldman win for his lyrics, I can understand why, and am happy for, the ONCE win. Out of music and lyrics, I think the lyrics in ONCE are superior to the music, at least if we are judging them separately. They are beautiful. But I do think Menken deserved music. I'm happy for both shows and that they split the awards.
