ETA...and I'm about as big a fan of Ragtime as you'll find.

Posted: 5/15/10 at 8:11amI think this whole debacle is a slap in the face to the deserving work of other costume designers and orchestrators. And I LOVED Ragtime and think it deserves every accolade that comes it's way.

I too loved Ragtime, but this was completely unfair in every way. Anyone with any knowledge of Ragtime knows that those were pretty much the same costumes as the original and the exact same orchestrations as the Tony- and Drama Desk-winning originals.
