If you could see anyone play Hedwig who would you pick? I would pick Jonathan Groff.
Kevin Cahoon or Gavin Creel would be two who (I believe) have played the role at some point and I would love to be able to see tackle it on Broadway.
After seeing him in Hamilton, I second Jonathan Groff .... he was hysterical. He would make a fantastic Hedwig.
Others I have thought would be great if money was no object would be Jake Gyllenhaal, Jared Leto, Jamie Fox, Tom Cruise, and Jemaine Clement from Flight of the Conchords, and the voice of "Nigel" the thespian Cockatoo in the Rio animated movies. Kristin Chenoweth plays his love interest, a frog, in case you have not seen it. They share a beautiful and hilarious love ballad in Rio 2.

After thinking about it for a little bit, I think Jeremy Jordan could do something special with it. Maybe a few years down the road, though. Also, I'd love to see Lena play it! I second Gavin.

I agree and would LOVE any of these
Woah Jake Gylenhaal.
Woah Raul Esparza.
Woah Michael Esper.
Zac Efron (Hairspray movie)
Steve Kazee (Once)
John Gallagher Jr. (Spring Awakening)
Richard Fleeshman (Ghost)
Diego Boneta (Rock of Ages movie)
Reeve Carney (Spider-Man)
Cheyenne Jackson (Xanadu)
Daniel Radcliffe (H2$ revival)
Billy Magnussen (Into the Woods movie)
Daniel Reichard (Jersey Boys)
Aaron Tveit (Next to Normal)
Alistair Brammer (Miss Saigon revival)
I would like to see NPH's Oscar buddy Jack Black stretch himself and try- his unique voice would fit the score like a glove
Jonathan Rhys-Myers would have been great in his prime too.
I didn't even have to think of these:
Jared Leto
Lady Gaga
P!nk
Justin Timberlake
Joseph Gordon Levitt
and I think Lena Hall could kill it as well
Cheyenne Jackson.
A) I would love to see him in his underwear
B) I think he would sing it so beautifully. Although we've seen some amazing Hedwigs in this production, I don't think we've yet heard it sung to its full potential. I would love to hear a Cheyenne or a Jonathan Groff really give the score, particularly some of the lovelier tunes, its due.

I'm quite enjoying these as there are some I never would have thought of, but love. Mine would be Lenny Kravitz. A girl can dream, right?

at the very least, i'd love to hear him "sing" Hedwig's Lament or Angry Inch.
and i suspect he could really relate emotionally to Wig in a Box.
Myself. Aaron Tveit would be an interesting Hedwig.
