I don't know if anyone saw the article the other day but there is a new musical about the life of Tammy Faye being written. Just wanted to see who everyone thought would be a good Tammy.
Well, Bernadette Peters has already played the part, in a TV movie with Kevin Spacey, maybe she'd like another crack at it.
Bernadette Peters as Tammy Faye Bakker in the 1990 NBC TV movie FALL FROM GRACE:
Looking like that is Tammy's Dream.
I think Bernadette is not the right look. I can't believe I am going to say this but what about someone more along the lines of Kristen!
Kristen can bring more to the plate as Tammy Faye then anyone else can. She's got the right 'in your face' look and personality to pull-off Tammy Faye's essence. I think it's a perfect fit -- just as she is for Dolly Parton.
I don't think she's right.
Alice Ripley? Anyone?
She can play a large age range and she has a country sound?
Thoughts?
My Dream Tammy is Ms. Emily Skinner.

Either Bernadette or Emily.
Chenoweth doesn't look near old enough, and Alice I just can't see.
Great photo BrodyFosse.
And I have to agree with ac...Emily Skinner would be a great choice.

The only one that could do the role justice is Faith Prince.
Tammy is tiny and frail. I don't think Emily nor Faith fits that persona.
Well she might be tiny and frail but she has to have a powerful presence for sure. What about Mary Testa(lol)

There's one of the demo songs on the Tammy My Space site.
