Since February is Black History month, everyday at my school they have played songs by black artists. This morning, I was pleased to hear "And I Am Telling You (I'm Not Going)" blasting on the loud speaker.
After they play a song, they say the name of the song and who it was, and today they said "...from the movie Dreamgirls, sung by Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson"
This might be a pointless post, but I thought it was pretty funny.

That's great that they play a song every day! I wish my school had done that. What a great song to hear first thing in the morning :)

Wow! You're absolutely hysterical... Yero said it was a funny as in a coincidence, not funny as in humorous. I think making fun of people by typing incorrectly was funny the first time I heard it, several years ago. And even then it wasn't very funny.

Yero, that's nice that your school plays songs, at my school every morning they make the same announcement about it. It's incredibly redundant and garners no attention for the month. Kids really just ignore it.
Edited for spelling.

I would think it would be intentional seeing as last night she won the Oscar, not coincidental.
when i remember high school it seems like every month was black history month, or at least there always seemed to be a poster saying so.

I just wish my school would give it a rest with the no hats policy and let us wear Santa hats around Christmas. Oh, yes, and let people get balloons on their birthday and bring in cakes and...SH*T.
Thats cool.
Go J-HUD.
