Earlier, I tried for the lottery because I remembered reading on here that someone said that it was very easy to win. But today, thursday, it was PACKED. I guess due to the tony noms?
Can anyone tell me which would be the best day to go to try for it?
The only advice i'd give you is not to pay too much for this show.

I would suggest paying whatever you need to to get in because this is a must-see.
This IS a must see. I was fortunate to win Lotto i went last saturday and there was about 120 there. Best i can say is try for 25 seats in the back. Apperintly my friends LOVED the view. They said it was a great way to take in the whole show.
PAY for this show - if you dont get the lotto. It is definitly the first thing in eons (well, since La Cage IMO) that is worth paying $$ for.
I couldn't agree more. See this show! It's worth it! And see it before the Tonys, 'cause it's going to be hard to get a ticket afterward!
Its worth seeing - it's always at tkts and has lots of discount codes out there - don't pay full price for anything when you can easily see it for cheaper.

I was able to get 45% off tickets through a code at Broadwaybox.com - paid $38 for mezz seats and the view was great (as was the show!).

Well, on ticketmaster I managed to buy 4 tickets in the second to last row of the mezz for $25 each, and they were pretty good, too! And I didn't need a code or anything...

This is one of the most creative and entertaining musicals I have seen in years. Anyone who understands and appreciates a devoted theatre fan (fanatic) will love this show.
I wouldn't really say it's work $110. You should try back mezz - the view is good, or so I've heard.
I wish I could help you out! My family tried the Drowsy lottery twice - the first time, all three of us won, and the second, two of us did. I think it'll get more crowded before and after Tony time, so try to see it ASAP!

So is the general concensus on the $25 rear mezz tickets that they're good?
It's either those, or hold out hope for a discount - because the only $80 something dollar tickets available for the 17th matinee are literally one row in front of the $25 ones available.
And unless a discount comes along, I can't do the $110's right now.

Won lotto 3 times in 2 weeks and can honestly say I have no problem going back to see it
Yeah I'm definitley buying the 25$$ tix from ticketmaster.
Sometimes, I like mezzanine better than orchestra anyway-and this sounds like a show that might even be better off sitting in the mezz.
It took me about six or seven times to finally win (this was pre-Tonys, about a month ago).
Here's a hint -- they don't seem to shuffle the cards up too well. The day I won, the people in front of me were writing down somebody's name who wasn't even there. I took note of the name, thinking, "I'm going to be pissed if he wins."
Sure enough, he was about the second name called. And he still hadn't shown up, so no ticket for him. But I was the next one called, and I had put my name in right after his.
Again, when do they do the lottery? What time do you have to show up?

The lottery is held one hour before each show, outside of the box office.
