Do you think Sutton will be there? What songs do you think they'll be able to perform? I don't think they'll do Show Off, would they? I can't imagine them making Sutton doing that dance routine in the heat.
I hope they do something such as "Toledo Surprise," Am I the only one getting a bit tired of Show Off? Not to mention "Toledo Surprise" is a nice way to show off the whole cast.
I too am tired of "Show Off" and would love for them to do "Toledo," but I think, most likely, they'll have Beth Leavel do "As We Stumble Along."
That is what they performed at Stars in the Alley and that is the easiest choice. Remember, there is a live band on stage (so there isn't alot of room) and they use hand held mikes... the way "Toledo" is staged and with the space given, it, like "Show Off," will be near impossible to do for BIBP. Plus, Beth is their Tony winner. I know alot of shows use their understudies for this event, but she seems like one of the few principles who would do it.
I'll be in attendance that day though, so I am excited for whatever it isthey decide to do.
"As We Stumble Along" would be a great choice as well. That one I've yet to get tired of. "...Antarctica? Oh please." Has got to be one of my favorite lines lyric wise in a show, period.
As we stumble, bumble, fumble........... PLUMBLE!
I figured that they'd do Stumble...but doesn't Sutton sing in "An Accident Waiting to Happen"? That seems like something they would sing too.
I don't know if it was a rumor or not, but I read somewhere that Sutton actually was going to sing "Show Off". But those are some good points you guys made so it probably was a rumor.
I think "As We Stumble Along" would be a great choice.
I would also like to hear "I Am Aldolpho"! Maybe just because I love Danny Burstein so much and nobody really acknowledges him.
I want them to do "I Am Adolphi" and "Accident Waiting to Happen" because Troy Britton Johnson's voice is so smooth.

Usually they have understudies perform. Most of the time it's not the full-blown choreography. There are no costumes, either.
I went twice last year and there were no understudies for any of the shows performing.
