Which has nothing to do with seeing a performance and forming an opinion. I'm not commenting on Dunaway's career or her fame. I'm commenting on the flat wooden performance she gave in Master Class, devoid of any connection to the material she attempted to deliver. Try to imagine Sean Young performing the role of Eva Peron as played by her character Rachael in Bladerunner, but speaking all the lyrics without any underscoring. It was like that, but without the charisma. But at least Faye clomped in loud heels to keep you from achieving REM sleep. Lord knows, if she didn't get any rest, why should we?

In my opinion, her performance was extraordinary - so layered, so tragic, so vulnerable. It was one of the most astonishing performances that I've ever seen.
Mister Matt, where did you see her perform? I live in LA, and "Master Class" was at The Doolittle on Vine.
