CAn anybody give me some ideas about easy, cheep ways to make the huge audrey II from little shop? any help would be great.
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofuFoam is pretty cheap and you just use an electric knife to cut and shape it and spray paint to color it. That is honestly the best way to do it. Paper Mache or fabric would look pretty bad and be a lot heavier and more difficult to manipulate.
I just sent you instructions for VERY SHOESTRING Audrey II's (plants 1 & 2). If you like them tell me and I can send you instructions for the other two plants.

Music Theatre International now rents all four plants at a very fair price. I've seen them in action and they are terrific. You should check it out... possibly a good alternative to building them. The MTI website has pictures and drawings of Audrey II which might be of help if you decide to build them yourself.

Jacob can u send me those instructions too, i have always wanted my own Twoey
We used two kiddie plastic swimming pools (like a clam shell) for the big plant. ( This time of year just ask around people always want to get rid of them) Covered in inexpensive fabric. The hand puppet is really easy. The medium plant just made out of foam and cardboard. You can use more than one plant operator too. Most of the stuff you can get at Loews or Home Depot.

Jacob could you also send me. I would love to see that.
Also to piggyback on what StandingO said -- call around to any costume rental shops in your area. When I did the show a few years back I found out that a local costume dealer had their own set of Audrey plants that they rented out to schools and community theatres. It ended up being cheaper than going through MTI since I didn't have to have them shipped to me. I just rented a U-Haul and picked them up myself.
