The company make a series of videos: Elders reacts, teens react, kids react. Then they show them things that might not target their age range. It's just interesting to see what people who might not normally be exposed to these things think of them.
Anyway for the most part the video was sweet, although it's a shame that woman can't get past the casting.

I love Elders/Teens/Kids React.... great, Lin's got the senior citizens interested in seeing it now, too... 'cause we surely don't have enough people wanting to see it already! Lol.
So cute. How they're so taken by it.
But they'll be shocked by the ticket price and ticket unavailability haha.

I'd love a teens react to the show. This was sweet as well but I feel they showed too little reaction. The whole show is out there and they did maybe 2 minutes.

You do know that "elders" isn't synonymous with stupid, right? Those were (for the most part) educated and contemporary people. MOST of them had heard of the show, most of them seem to have an understanding of theater; heck, some of them even mentioned the expense.

Yeah, JM226, I ooooobviously think Los Angeleans are completely incompetent.
I'm saying that it's just continually revealing that this isn't a geographically isolated phenomenon (which I think we knew anyway, but whatever). There come Broadway shows that we who are so invested/interested in the industry and community like to think are huge deals—but the majority of Americans will never even hear a mention of them. All I'm pointing out is that it is a big deal that everyday people on the other side of the country are able to provide a general understanding about a new/original Broadway show.

Fun (?) fact: the blonde woman was on the most recent season of Worst Cooks of America. Based on her persona on "React", I would say she was acting on Worst Cooks. I have to admit, a few of those people looked familiar, but I could't place anyone else.
Please don't judge me based on the knowledge that I watch Worst Cooks. I am that one person that still doesn't subscribe to Netflix.

I agree with finebydesign, and I find that the majority of “reaction” videos are boring and self-indulgent.
If the purpose of reaction videos are to show that reactions can be just as, or more entertaining than watching the original video on its own, then the subject doing the “reacting” needs to be worth watching. In nearly all cases, the subjects of these videos are either uninterestingly passive or plain old talking heads. For this video, I didn’t find any reason to use a visual medium. Expressing these opinions would hold the same interest if they were presented in a text-based medium, so… what’s the point?
I do think there are times where reaction videos can be entertaining. For example, if I’m going to sit through a reaction video, I prefer to watch Gogglebox on the UK’s Channel 4. For me, that show captures what’s interesting and entertaining about the subjects who are watching and reacting. Taken to an extreme, I also loved Melissa McCarthy’s SNL sketch.

I don't really understand where you are coming from with your comment. Where did you get anything from my comment that implied anyone was stupid?
Honestly, what's the point of your reply when my comment was sincere and a positive response to their reactions? If it's by the tongue-in-cheek joke I made, that's what the "Lol." at the end of that sentence was about... Sheesh.
