Ellen Page on SNL

Posted: 3/3/08 at 4:49pmMaya Rudolph left at the end of December as her contract was up. I think Rachel Dratch left in May or June of 2006 to work on 30 Rock.

Posted: 3/3/08 at 6:15pmI don't think it's the writing, nor do I have a problem with one trick ponies. However, Page has no energy, she's flat, not entertaining. At least in SNL she was. I also agree with the Juno character being no stretch for her. That's why I'm glad she didn't win the oscar.

Posted: 3/3/08 at 6:24pmAmy Pohler is an amazing performer. The writing is getting a little stale, but that has nothing to do with the cast. As for the last sketch, no she didn't come out, it was in response to people thinking she is a lesbian.

Posted: 3/3/08 at 6:28pmBack to the topic, I think Ellen Page did a fine job. The only skit that was painfully to watch, in my opinion, was that whole Dakota Fanning Show. OUCH. Page didn't even attempt a southern accent for Miley Cyrus. I felt bad for her. I LOVED her Peter Pan. HILARIOUS. At least she had one funny skit. Better than nothing!
