I think it’ll be a flop, but Katie’s performance makes it a must see flop and anyone who sees it will not be disappointed. Also, I don’t think this show is the kind of train wreck that truly awful shows are such as opening night in the west end or Carrie etc. it’s at least decent and not an embarrassment.
I’m sure her performance is great. But the Palace is huge and we just had a Tammy Faye film. This feels like the kind of esoteric camp content that just doesn’t seem sustainable on a big Broadway stage with no stars.
Wonder if they'll beef the show up a bit?

If that theory was true, & JULIET, MJ, MOULIN ROUGE and SIX would have closed some time ago.
I wouldn't underestimate the potential of this show.

Huh? How do these even vaguely compare to this show? Three of them use a catalogue of incredibly popular music based on wildly popular and successful properties, and Six is a small show with a small cast that must be very inexpensive to run.

Exactly. Tammy Faye is nothing like those other shows and it takes itself probably more seriously too. The camp factor almost seems slightly unintentional at times, not built into the material. I really don’t know who the target audience for this show is lol.
