I don't know how anyone can worship that girl....she can be a good singer...but she was probably,the worse actress i have ever seen. Her face expression doesn't change in the entire movie. Does anyone agree with me?

nope... thought she did a great job! Perhaps other could have done better but considering her age... she did well!

I just figured out she was in The Day after Tommorrow...
So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.~Office Space

Actually I disagree--she had TWO expressions--insipid smile and aspirin-commercial frown. Her voice was fine, but hardly spectacular. Still, she probably never had a chance--my favorite moment of hers from the movie is when she sings to Patrick Wilson while both of them are running up spiral staircases to the roof. The camera chases after them, going faster and faster, and it looks as if they are trying to escape the movie!
I ask in all honesty/What would life be?/Without a song and a dance, what are we?/So I say "Thank you for the music/For giving it to me."

I love her she seems like a cool chick. Obviously many people think she is talented or she would not be famous. Personally, I love her voice.

SuddenlySeymour-Hilary Duff has no talent, but she's famous.

My opinion on Emmy Rossum-I have the Phantom soundtrack and I think her voice is pretty, but not strong or amazing. I don't see why people obsess over her.

"Talent" is a really big...spectrum. You can't say that Hilary doesn't have talent. She can carry a tune. Just because someone dislikes a performer, I hate when they just say, "Oh, they don't have ANY talent."

I mean...that's harsh. Granted, they're probably less talented than those that we're used to hearing, but they appeal to an audience with the "talent" they have.

I like her, in fact my most favorite Christine. her singing is a bit weak but acting is superb. Her Chistine is the only one that I feel lively instead a piece of wood like the one on stage.

First of all, I wasn't at all impressed with her singing OR her acting. I completely agree with the mouth hanging open through the entire movie thing. I do think she sounded better at times than at others (I thought she sound better when she was singing lower, and I thought she sounded better toward the end--I actually was pretty found of "Past the Point of No Return"). I went with my mom and hadn't heard any clips of her before I saw it, and I literally grasped her hand when she started to sing "Think of Me."

Second of all, there are a lot of people who are extremally famous who have little or no talent. I'm not saying that Emmy has no talent, I just think she was perhaps not ready for that kind of role, or maybe something else would have suited her better.

I do not like her at all...now if I said this elsewhere I might be torn to pieces. She has a weak voice and zero expressions. I can't believe she took home those awards.

I actually like her. Granted, I don't think she's the most amazing thing to grace acting or anything, but I greatly enjoyed her performances both in Phantom and Day After Tomorrow. And, to me, she is 100,000 times better than Sarah Brightman. I would much rather listen to her with Gerard (who I dislike) than Sarah with Michael (who I really like). I think she has talent and has potential to be a star.

well.....i feel like emmy is some kind of hilary...i mean...i like hilary and i did buy her cds...i admit it! but i wouldnt want her or emmy to play a role created for a star like sarah brightman ...i mean that girl was like 16yo...correct? the "phantom" movie and the show suck! but emmy made it even worse.
