Erin Davie Will Replace Jill Paice In CURTAINS

Erin Davie (Grey Gardens, The Glorious Ones) will join the cast of Curtains on Friday, February 15 as ingénue Niki Harris, replacing original cast member Jill Paice. Paice will play her final performance on Sunday, February 3. Curtains, the Musical Comedy Whodunit from the authors of Cabaret and Chicago, is playing at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre (302 West 45th Street).

Before joining Curtains, Davie will play the role of Eve Harrington in Applause at Encores!, opposite two-time Tony Award winner Christine Ebersole. Last season, Davie made her Broadway debut starring opposite Ebersole as young "Little" Edie Beale in the critically acclaimed Broadway musical, Grey Gardens. Applause plays February 7-10 at New York City Center. In addition to Grey Gardens and The Glorious Ones, Davie's credits include the national tours of Swing! and The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber. Off-Broadway, she appeared in Infertility.

Whoo! I haven't yet seen Curtains but will definitely see it with Davie. She is fantastic! I'll have to check it out in the next few weeks with Paice, though.

I'll be seeing her in APPLAUSE, wish I were staying in New York long enough to see her opening night in CURTAINS. I may just have to see her when I go back in June.
I'm glad she is taking a mix of ingenue/edgy roles, Eve Harrington and Nikki are perfect opposites.

I CALLED IT!!!

I am more excited than I can possibly say. She will be amazing. I cannot wait to see her in the role! One of my favorite performers in one of my favorite shows. I'm ecstatic. Congratulations to her.

Great news, I'm definitely going to see this sometime after Erin Davie starts. I wish I could see Applause too, but I won't be in the city during its short run.

I'm so happy for this news! I think she's a great fit into what I consider the finest company currently pounding the boards on Broadway. WOOHOO!

Congratulations to Erin Davie! And mega kuddos to the powers that be of CURTAINS, who decided to stay within the very talented Broadway Community when finding a replacement. I give you not two, but three cheers!

She'll be awesome. I didn't see Grey Gardens (CURSE MY LIVING IN MASSACHUSETTS) but I have the CD and I know she'll be perfect.
