Now that I finally have my cast recording collection built up, I'm looking into solo albums by Broadway performers. What do you think are some essential solo recordings?

it really depends on what you want-contempory, classic broadway tunes by broadway performers or not

Personally I think Adam Pascal's albums are essential listening for contempory songs there's also Sherie Rene Scott's album and though he's not Broadway (he's a canadian who often works in the UK) I love Ramin Karimloo

www.sh-kboom.com is a good place to start looking though

That Stritch cd has been on my list forever, but always gets bumped. I'll put it at the top.

To clarify, any solo cd's by Broadway performers are fine, but at least a few Broadway songs on the cd would be nice.

Idina Menzel's Still I Can't Be Still and Here are brilliant. No broadway songs, but she is one hell of a singer/songwriter.
