ok, so the contest just closed and winners will be notified beginning today and continuing through the 17th. I know I will be anxiously checking my email all day tomorrow, so if anyone gets in, please post the details here (what address sent it, what time it was received...) so we can stop looking aimlessly
Will we have to respond within an hour or 24 hours? I don't think it's very ideal for 1 hour since I'll be at work all day and I can't respond. It better be 24 hours
From their website:
The lottery entry period has ended. The Dear Evan Hansen Fan Day performance will begin at 7:30pm on Sunday, December 10, 2017, at the Music Box Theatre.

You will have 48 hours to complete all the claimed ticket paperwork.

Congrats!!!!
I also got it at 2:55, so I’m guessing they’re sending it out at a specified time each day in waves rather than more spread out, so I wouldn’t spend all say checking your phone, but who knows. Now I just have to figure out who to bring with me, but I have so many friends that would want to....this can’t end well.....

If you haven't told all your friends yet, just choose one and say they picked you.
If I didn't get my email today, theres still a chance I got the tickets, right?
Yes they are sending the tickets out until mid November I think? I can't remember the exact date but they were all distributed today for sure.
Not to mention, I bet those that do not claim their tickets within 48 hours (fools) will have their tickets re-added to the lotto.

Has anyone received any e-mail today ?
I so hope I am selected I just happen to be in NYC on vacation that week. It would be interesting to know how many entries there were.

I wonder what they will do with tickets that aren't actually picked up. I've seen several Twitter posts of people winning and likely claiming their seats with captions of "Now I just have to convince my parents to take me to New York!" I have a feeling a lot of those parents will say free ticket or no.... New York in December is too expensive.

100% just me being a brat but god.... why claim the tickets if you don't know if you can go? They give 48 hours for a reason.

Because people are excited and unrealistic and think they'll be able to figure something out

I feel like there will just be empty seats -- if they claim their tickets but don't show up, the theater won't know until they see the empty seats once the show begins. Sad.

It is sad and unfair to those who know they'll be able to go. I doubt this will happen but it'd be cool if they gave leftover seats to anyone who just wants to see the second act? I know it's unrealistic but it's better than them going to waste.

Not sure if they announced it for Evan Hansen, but for Lion King’s free show you’ll have to pick up your ticket by 6:30pm I believe, otherwise they’ll go to a cancellation line... I’m hoping they’ll do something similar...
Oh god, I'm just thinking of what that cancellation line will be like. I'm already stressed about it.
Hope they do what you mentioned for Lion King. It would be incredible to have a packed house! And it gives us non-winners a final shot.

I hope they do that as well, but I'm not sure if I will bother going to wait in the line - I assume it will be ridiculously long

Has anyone received an email since the initial one went out? Wondering if they're actually sending emails in waves everyday through the 17th, or, if they picked all the winners on the 9th and are just giving out the remaining based on who did not accept them within 48h,

My daughter also received the same message and replied right away to confirm that she will use the tickets..Now what? We are arranging to go to NYC now, but hoping its not a scam--will she receive additional information? Have you received any other info?
Is there contact info for a PR company attached? If you're worried, can you call them to confirm it's for real?
DEH must have contracted someone out to handle all this. Maybe it's BLT Communications? (They do Mormon's.)
