I heard rumours back when it closed earlier this year, but it was confirmed today the Evil Dead will open again in Toronto on Valentine's Day!

Evil Dead: The Musical, the goriest, most irreverent hit show in Toronto’s history, is returning to the city ..... and this time on Valentine’s Day.

Jeffrey Latimer will announce today that the hit show based on Sam Raimi’s 1980s cult slasher films will return for another run at the Diesel Playhouse through April 6, where it packed seats and splattered patrons for six months earlier this year.

Ryan Ward will recreate his Dora-nominated performance as the chainsaw-wielding hero, Ash, and the rest of the cast will combine members of the original ensemble with some new victims.

Perfect type of show to see on Valentine's Day.

I loved it too. The CD is a bad representation of it.

I saw it twice in New York and loved it. Hilarious. Ryan Ward was great.

Sweet! I didn't get a chance to see it the first time. Mostly becuase I refused to sit anywhere but the splash zone.
