I'm also sadder than I have ever been over a show's closing. Last night's show had the most energy I've seen from them-and this coming right after posting a closing notice! It's just not fair!!!!
Can't wait for the cd. "What the f*** was that is my favorite part-I must check the video.

I got to see the show November 2nd, when Bruce did his talkback. It was so much fun! I didn't expect it to be as good as it was! I'm looking forward to the cast album. Shame it didn't last longer.
I am SO GLAD I got to see this. It was SO SOSOSOSOSOSOOOO funny, and I haven't even seen the movies. I'm thrilled there's a cast recording.
LOOK WHO'S EVIL NOW!!!!

Everyone seems to be disappointed that it's closing, yet you say you got free tickets to the show. Maybe that's why it's closing? Because everyone went for free!
Well obviously that's why it's closing. It wasn't selling, so tickets were given to papering services at no charge in order to fill the house. This was the ultimate Off-Broadway show and it's really too bad that Off-Broadway seems to be gone for good.

Both times I saw the show, it played to large audiences--not sell-outs, but certainly healthy.
The good news is that I have to imagine there'll be regional demand for this show. It'd be a great addition to some smaller, hip theatres around the country. It would be a great money maker.
I'm seeing the show tonight, would it be too expensive to replicate across the country?

Are regional theaters prepared for "splatter zones"?
I wonder if they might have done better had they weekend matinees

The producers were aiming the show for a particular crowd. You'll notice the TV ads run during shows like Mad TV. They felt that the 7 PM and 11 PM performances on weekends were attracting the right groups.
