Evita Alternate Performances Dates?

Does anyone know the dates that alternate will be performing Eva Peron? All the information I can find says TBD at a later date. They started selling tickets 2 months ago, when are they going to announce the alternate performance dates?

It will most likely be the matinees.

As blaxx just stated, as its been the tradition since EVITA first hit the stage in 1978, the alternate Eva Person performs the matinee performances (just like Christine in THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA and Kim in MISS SAIGON).

I thought someone said here that wasn't the case with Elena Roger in London, though. I thought she did the two show days and had two evenings off.

I would say the alternate likely won't be performing the matinees. While that may have been the case for the original production, Elena Roger didn't do Monday evening performances and Thursday matinees in London.

I'm not sure of what the performance schedule will be like on Broadway, but I expect that probably corresponds to something like Tuesday evenings and Saturday matinees here.

That's with the West End schedule. I really can't see her missing evening performances on Broadway, at least not pre-Tonys.

I just assumed she wouldn't be performing the matinees and bought tickets for an evening performance on Thursday, March 29th.

Well, Roger is above the title. Aren't alternates supposed to be announced on all publicity? You'd think they would have announced a schedule for the alternate that was out of the ordinary. I suppose Tuesday evenings would make sense, if she indeed is performing on two-show days.

BrodyFosse, I saw the alternate Christine in Phantom on a Thursday night last March, so that may have been true in the beginning but I don't know if it is anymore...or the schedule could switch around.

Actually, according to Wikipedia, Christine Daae's alternates on Broadway perform Thursday evenings and Saturday matinees.

Is there any reason why I can't seem to find tickets to Evita? Ticketmaster seems to not give me tickets to any shows. Is the pre-sale over?

choitoy I just purchased tickets today for April and from what I saw there were plenty of dates for sale, at least in April.

Oh, I finally got on the ticketmaster web site. It must have been down yesterday, because before, I couldn't get tickets for any show between May to July.

Ticketmaster can be so annoying sometimes!
