Evita Revival?

Hi,
What are the chances of Patti Lupone doing an Evita Revival after Gypsy?

Um, Patti's way too old!
Well I didn't want to get into it, but he's a Satanist. Every full moon he sacrifices 4 puppies to the Dark Lord and smears their blood on his paino. This should help you understand the score for Wicked a little bit more. Tazber's: Reply to Is Stephen Schwartz a Practicing Christian

re: Evita Revival?

What are the chances that Coolkid will finally think once before he posts?

As slim as Patti playing Eva Peron again.

I can't wait 'til we find out we've been Punk'd and that Coolkid is Michael Riedel or Manny Azenberg or Edward Albee.

re: Evita Revival?

you missed it, she did a one night only performance on Monday. Boyd Gaines was Che, Arthur Laurents played Peron and Marilyn Caskey was Peron's Mistress. it was great!

I wouldn't mind if she mended the riff with Webber as she did with Laurents and recorded "You Must Love Me" on a new album.

Hi,
What are the chances that you crawl into a hole and never come out?

re: Evita Revival?

That always gets me, she Hated doing Evita, was very vocal of the way she felt she was treated during that time, but than went back and worked for him on Sunset and then turned around and bitched like no tommorrow.

I'd like to see Orfeh play Evita.

You are honestly an idiot, I'm sorry but it's the truth.

re: Evita Revival?

Oh, c'mon. It was just a joke. Although, I hope she doesn't feel the need to come on here again and defend herself like there's something wrong with being 60.

re: Evita Revival?

I would pay to see a production of Evita with Arthur Laurents as Juan Peron.

re: Evita Revival?

Elena Roger needs to come to broadway with this.

Is there even a rumor of this or is this just out of nowhere?

"...went back and worked for him on Sunset and then turned around and bitched like no tommorrow"

She had very good reason to bitch about the way she was treated during SUNSET BOULEVARD.

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

re: Evita Revival?

I hope suggesting Patti as Eva was a joke.

But that aside, I would love an actual revival of Evita. They're reviving shows that were done 5, 10, 15 years ago, but not ones that were done before I was old enough to see them.

Though I would like to see someone in it who has actual talent and is not just some fluff actor to pull in young people.
Jessica Grove would be great in the role.

Hi,
What are the chances of Yul Brynner doing a King & I Revival after Gypsy?

Oh, wait...

re: Evita Revival?

Yul Brynner is replacing Patti in Gypsy?

oh wait, I actually had a comment about an Evita revival. I would love to see one, but I too would rather see a lesser known actress who can actually sing the role as written. and I'd like to see a production that has the same edge that the original Hal Prince staging did.

re: Evita Revival?

My first thought when I saw the title of the thread and then I saw that Coolkid created was this. I thought that Coolkid was going to ask for tickets for the closing night of the Evita revival.

That being said, I did create a thread awhile back asking if there was ever going to be an Evita revival. Apparently, they were going to bring the London revival with Elena Roger and Quast. But, because it didn't do well in London they didn't bring it over to Broadway.

As for Patti Sunset. I was under the impression that although she hated doing Evita she had no real beef with Webber until Sunset came along. I thought she just hated Evita because of its hard to sing score.

If she did hate Webber during her time in Evita then why did she go and do Sunset?
