I LOVE HER! But I hate him. Damnit!
Nothing precious, plain to see, don't make a fuss over me. Not loud, not soft, but somewhere inbetween. Say sorry, just let it be the word you mean.

In that case, can you explain the appeal of Ewan McGregor to me? I really don't understand it.

Well, popcultureboy, he does have...a really weird smile. And I wanted to smack him during most of Big Fish because he always seemed like he was winking at the damn camera. Does that begin to explain why he's irresistable?

Nope, it merely confirms why I hate him, Plum. And why have they cast him in a musical? He can't sing, as his off key bellowing in Moulin Rouge will attest.

Stupid London!
Can't anything good be done here
Can't anything good be done here
David walked into the valley
With a stone clutched in his hand
He was only a boy
But he knew someone must take a stand
There will always be a valley
Always mountains one must scale
There will always be perilous waters
Which someone must sail

I disagree with you, popcultureboy. I thought he was great in 'Moulin Rouge'. In fact, he's a great actor in general. He's not a singer, but he got through unscathed.
That's just my opinion. You could be wrong.

he's hot! at least, in my opinion...

I don't see the hotness. And believe me, I have tried. And as for him being a great actor, I find him laughably bad in everything he does. And he can't do an accent to save his life, not even a Scottish one in Young Adam. It's painful to watch. I really don't understand!

I thought his singing was alright in Moulin Rouge, but who knows how much pitch correction went into that? I guess now we'll find out...

The answer on the pitch correction front is "not enough". It got to the point where I was thinking "if he turns up and bellows Your Song over the top of someone else's solo just one more time, so help me GOD!"

I think Ms. Mullally is a great choice and she is going to be so very funny. I wish I could see her. As for Ewan McGregor, I actually did like him in Moulin Rouge and thought that he voice and demeanor worked very well in that. I don't usually like him, however, and I just don't see him doing this role. But, as I have said before, everyone deserves a chance. You never know...he could surprise people. Does anyone know who else will star?

Megan Mullally would make a great Adelaide! I don't really think McGregor's right for Sky though--he has a nice voice, but he doesn't really have proper vocal technique, and Sky's supposed to be a legit baritone, not a pop tenor.

We may have been a bit premature in this announcement. Megan has had to decline the role due to her Will & Grace schedule.

Does anyone have a link to all this news? Anyone know the dates this should be happening? I'll be in London at the end of April and the end of May, and I'd give my left arm to see him OR her!

Who will the actors play? I can't see either of them in the two leads. I LOOVEE Ewan though. I loved him in Moulin Rouge. I think he'll do a great job. Megan Mullally (creative Spelling at its best) i'm not so sure about though.

You say 'stupid London' - but the way things are here, Guys and Dolls will be on TKTS every night from first preview and discounting from £50 --> £25 on mid-week performances.
Although actually, with Ewan McG and Megan M, it is likely to be a massive hit.
