Honestly, Jimmy isn't at the top of the pack so the fact that he's doing a week dedicated to Broadway is commendable. I like him, you can tell he's a genuine fan of the theatre. One of his brightest moments in my opinion was when he had LuPone on. The man was giddy both segments.

No, but that's partly due to him being on later, Letterman never beat the earlier shows when he was on later either. He gets very strong demos for his slot.

Yeah, it's kinda hard to beat someone you aren't competing with. And yes, he has beaten out Craig Ferguson. He stays even with Ferguson or beats him out. Ferguson has beat him in ratings a few times.
