That's it- any more anywhere else?
Sadly no. I really surprised at their lack of advertising for this show. You'd think they'd want to get their stuff out there as much as possible.

I think the last photo looks lame. The edges and lines of this 'awsome stage' are so smooth- not what I was expecting at all. Looks like something from the Lion King. The other ones look cool though.
Obviously the production is only doing 'word-of-mouth' advertising, because I live here and would have no idea about this show if I hadn't worked at the theatre before.
A production this size should have almost $9 million budgeted for advertising, (it should be 1/3 of the production costs) but I'd be suprised if they budgeted $1 million!

I liked the pictures, and I too wish I could go to Toronto to see it. I am curious to know what Gollum, Arwen, and Galadriel look like in this show though.
As for advertising, maybe it will pick up once the show officially opens. I know, from looking at the offical site www.lotr.com, that TV and radio adds do exist.

yes there are more. Just search for them. I got a nice little collection of production photos from searching around today.
firescape, would u be a REAL sweetie and post the stuff you find PLEASE? I have been REAL busy so I dont have time to search... anyway, did u search on here/google/yahoo?
There was a TV ad out at one point, it had a few seconds of Galadriel in it. I don't know if that was her final costume, but she was in it.
I would be happy to send or post them. I am not familiar with posting pics here on the board. If you want to let me know that would be great.
firescape, if you email them to me I could post them all.
Check your PM's =)
Okay, here are the production photos that firescape sent to me. =) Thanks!
hm...looks interesting. Hopefully they'll be able to work out all the kinks and not be affected by the mixed-negative reviews (at least from what I've read so far). I wonder how this show will end up. I personally would love to see it, but I'm not in any hurry.
It's amazing how similar the hobbits and Gandalf's costumes are to the films costumes.
I really hope I am able to see this in July. It just looks visually stunning.

Set design looks GREAT!
I wouldn't be surprised if it gets bad reviews...
worst way of exploiting a franchise EVERRRR!
You are CRAZY!!! I have seen this show and if it gets bad reviews it will NOT be because of how good or bad the show is. It was nothing short of an EPIC stage production! I am an advid theater critic as I travel the world to see uniques productions as well as visit Broadway many times a year. I enjoyed this production and although I saw it in previews I am sure the finalized production will be much more pollished.
I also have a fairly good picture of the show drop as well as outside theater shots if anyone wants them.
I do! I do!
Email anything you got firescape, and I'll post em! =)
Here are some outside the theater and the opening curtain. Courtesy of firescape. =)
Hehehe...can't wait for April 12th.
